This interactive, family-friendly class offers videos, stories, and activities that teach kids what to expect when a new baby arrives and how to safely and lovingly help at home. Parents will learn how to talk to children about babies and birth, involve them in caregiving, encourage safe sibling interactions, and foster positive relationships from the start. You’ll learn about arrival and check-in procedures, see key areas of care including the Women’s Evaluation and Treatment Unit, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Wesson 2 Cesarean Birth and Recovery Area, and the NICU/Continuing Care Nursery viewing area. The session also includes tips for preparing for your hospital stay and time for Q&A.
