In Person Two Day Childbirth Education Bundle - Wesson Women & Infants', Springfield, MAA comprehensive two-day series that prepares expectant parents for labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and life with a newborn. This accelerated class, taught by certified Baystate Health Childbirth Educators, combines expert instruction, hands-on learning, and a guided hospital tour to help you feel confident and ready for your baby’s arrival. Schedule: Classes meet over two sessions (weekends vary by date—Saturday–Sunday, Sunday–Sunday, or Saturday–Saturday). Holiday weekends may affect the schedule, and any changes will be noted in the class dates. What’s Included: Class 1 covers labor and delivery basics, including stages of labor, signs of labor, and comfort and coping techniques. Class 2 explores medical interventions such as pain relief, epidurals, cesarean birth, induction, and postpartum recovery. Class 3 provides hands-on newborn care including bathing, diapering, soothing, and recognizing cues. Class 4 focuses on prenatal breastfeeding, including latch, positioning, and establishing feeding success. A bonus virtual class, “Our Baby’s Home! Now What?” is included to be taken after birth at no extra cost. Hospital Tour: Includes a 45-minute guided visit to the Women’s Evaluation & Treatment Unit, Labor & Delivery, Wesson 2 Postpartum Unit, and NICU/CCN viewing area (not inside nurseries). Virtual and in-person options share the same curriculum, materials, and certified instructors—choose the format that best fits your schedule. Best time to register: Around 24 weeks of pregnancy. Who should attend: Parents at least 32 weeks pregnant by the first class. Cost: $175 per couple (one ticket covers two people). Please arrive on time; duration may vary slightly based on participation. Food options: The Full-Service Cafeteria (2nd floor) and Atwater’s Café (1st floor, limited weekday hours).
