Virtual Childbirth Questions and Answer Hour: Ask a Parent Educator - Wesson Women & Infants' Springfield, MAA private, non-refundable, one-hour virtual class via Zoom for expectant parents who need flexible, individualized childbirth education. Led by a Baystate Health Certified Childbirth Educator, this session provides expert guidance tailored to your needs and schedule. It’s ideal for those short on time, seeking a refresher, or wanting focused support on specific topics. Online Sibling Preparation classA self-paced online course that helps young children prepare to become proud and confident big brothers or sisters. This interactive, family-friendly class offers videos, stories, and activities that teach kids what to expect when a new baby arrives and how to safely and lovingly help at home. Parents will learn how to talk to children about babies and birth, involve them in caregiving, encourage safe sibling interactions, and foster positive relationships from the start. The course includes chapters on topics like where babies come from, what babies eat, meeting the baby, bringing baby home, and fun sibling activities. It provides 3–4 hours of engaging, self-paced learning with printable materials and interactive tools. Participants have 270 days of access to complete the course. Babysitters AcademyAn in-person course for students ages 11–14 who want to learn how to safely and responsibly care for children. This interactive, hands-on class builds confidence and practical skills for babysitting siblings, family members, or neighborhood children. Virtual Prenatal Breastfeeding Class - Wesson Women & Infants', Springfield, MAA two-hour online class for expectant parents that helps you prepare for a confident start to breastfeeding from the comfort of home. Led by a certified Parent Education Lactation Consultant (CLC), this interactive session guides you through the basics of milk supply, latch, positioning, feeding cues, and how to plan for breastfeeding in the hospital and at home. Support persons are encouraged to attend. You’ll learn how to establish a full milk supply, understand the hormones of lactation, recognize hunger cues, use proper latch and positioning, know when to seek help, and get an overview of pumping and partner support. Online Sibling Preparation classA self-paced online course that helps young children prepare to become proud and confident big brothers or sisters. This interactive, family-friendly class offers videos, stories, and activities that teach kids what to expect when a new baby arrives and how to safely and lovingly help at home. Parents will learn how to talk to children about babies and birth, involve them in caregiving, encourage safe sibling interactions, and foster positive relationships from the start.
